Adamastor at the Hi-rEV 2024 Conference - “Shaping the Future of Automotive Components”

After taking part in the “European Conference on the Structural Integrity of Additively Manufactured Materials”, Adamastor further reinforces its commitment to the recovery agenda of the automotive components sector.

On December 5, Adamastor will take part in the “Shaping the Future of Automotive Components” conference, an event promoted by Hi-rEV, the agenda for the recovery of the automotive components sector, which will be held at the Cruise Terminal in the Port of Leixões, Oporto. At the event, Adamastor will be exhibiting the new Furia, its most ambitious project, the first Portuguese supercar with which it wants to set new standards in this exclusive market segment.

The conference, which will be attended by various entities and organizations from the automotive sector and which brings together the Hi-rEV project and the fourth edition of the SAM Meeting, will support the communication of the technical-scientific results and demonstrators developed by Hi-rEV. The SAM Meeting will serve as a platform for dialogue among academics, industrialists, and researchers facilitating the exchange of innovations in areas such as materials, manufacturing, and technology. Roundtables will also be held to discuss topics such as Hybrid Manufacturing and stamping processes.

By attending, Adamastor underscores its commitment to research and development operations, leveraging its extensive expertise in engineering services and carbon fiber component production.

This participation strengthens Adamastor's role in this consortium, which aims to bring together key players in the sector to drive essential disruptive changes in the industry. These changes will enable companies to adapt and provide appropriate responses to the goals established for the critical energy transition.

"Being part of the Hi-rEV 2024 Conference - ‘Shaping the Future of Automotive Components’ is highly significant for Adamastor, as being associated with this agenda places us at the forefront of developing components for the automotive industry. It also allows us to harness the synergies created with other consortium members. Our presence at the conference with the Adamastor model demonstrates our ability to design and manufacture automotive components, such as structural composite battery cases for electric vehicles," says Frederico Ribeiro, Head of Engineering.

About Hi-rEV

Hi-rEV - Recovery of the Automotive Components Sector is a co-promotion project with 12 other entities, within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Programme, mobilizing agendas for business innovation. This mobilizing project seeks to unite the diverse experience and knowledge, both from the industrial co-promoters and from the co-promoters of ENESI - Non-Business Entities of the National Scientific and Technological System - as well as associations. Through knowledge sharing, it aims to drive the transformation needed to meet the demands of the future market. In this way, three central pillars have been defined for the project:
⦁    Green transition of the automotive components manufacturing sector;
⦁    Digital transformation of the production system;
⦁    Economic resilience - Training for new processes/products for the vehicle of the future.
